The Insiders play Texas honky-tonk music the way god intended…or rather the way Ray Price,
Johnny Bush, George Jones, or Buck Owens would love. But they don't just play the songs;
they spit out the hard stuff, caress the ballads, and swing like Bob Wills was watching from
above. Singer/songwriter Chad Rueffer explains "when we play a Faron Young or George Jones
tune, we want the audience to feel the song like we do. If that means crying, let 'em cry…
drinking, let 'em drink… but we'll get them on the dance floor one way or the other".
Over the two years the band has been together they have already earned the Terry Award for "Best Traditional Country Band 2003" and the "Critic's Choice Award" for best country band. Their new CD "Me & My Heart, & My Shoes" is being played regularly on North Texas radio stations. They have also been invited to host the Midnight Jamboree following the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.
