A seed from Jamaica, planted in Dallas in 1982, has grown and spread this band and their unique blend of roots reggae and worldbeat music across America, from the Caribbean to Hawaii to Africa and around the world.

2002 celebrated 20 years of WATUSI and the release of their latest CD, "Cool Runner", on World Beatnik Record. The release has taken the band and their music worldwide. The CD is the 5th release by WATUSI and shows a diversity of styles:
