The Dallas/Fort Worth Professional Musicians Association shall accept gifts to be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the DFW Musicians COVID-19 Relief Fund, as established by resolution of the Executive Board of The Dallas/Fort Wort Professional Musicians Association:
A Fund, to be called the DFW COVID-19 Musicians Relief Fund (“the Fund”), shall be established to aid in the financial relief of Local 72-147 Musicians who show a demonstrated loss of employment and/or independent contractor income due to the loss and/or cancellation of engagements during the universal shutdown of public gatherings caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020.
Donations shall be solicited in a campaign organized by Officers, Executive Board, Staff & Members of Local 72-147. It is understood that said donations are not-tax deductible.
At the time deemed proper by the Executive Board of Local 72-147, distributions shall be made available to members in good standing of Local 72-147 through an application and review process and set of guidelines determined by the Local 72-147 Executive Board, and administered by Local 72-147 Officers and Staff.
The Dallas/Fort Worth Professional Musicians Association will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
