(revised August 1, 2021)

Regular and Student Members who are at least 18 years of age in good standing of AFM Local 72-147 since January, 2021 may qualify for relief fund assistance.

The purpose of the relief fund is to provide assistance for Local 72-147 members who have lost income from professional musical work as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Full time musicians of the Dallas Symphony and the Fort Worth Symphony are not eligible while they are being paid under the terms of their collective bargaining agreements.

Members who are full-time faculty of any college or conservatory, or full-time teachers in public or private schools, and have continued to be paid since January 1 are not eligible for relief fund assistance at this time.

Members who are full-time private teachers and who have continued to teach (virtually) and earn regular income are not eligible for relief fund assistance at this time.

In order to be considered for relief fund assistance at this time, you must be able to document the loss of professional musical work since January 1, 2021

Members in the most severe hardship situations due to lost income from cancelled professional musical work will be given priority for receiving relief fund assistance at this time.
