How Much Does It Cost to Join Local 72-147?
If you have never been a member of any AFM Local the minimum cost to join Local 72-147 is $222.00. This includes a $100.00 Local 72-147 initiation fee, a $65.00 Federation initiation fee, and $57.00 for current semi-annual dues. Annual dues of $110.00 is payable in January of each calendar year.
If you are a student of an accredited school, college or university you can take advantage of our incredible Student Membership rate - $110 – annual dues for one year! All initiation fees are waived (for a savings of $165.00). A copy of your current student I.D. must accompany your membership application.
If you are currently a member of another AFM Local, resigned in good standing from another local or dropped by any AFM Local for nonpayment of dues please contact Stewart Williams, Secretary-Treasurer at (817) 469-6040 or email him at swilliams@musiciansdfw.org for the amount of dues necessary to join.
Discount for Self-Contained Bands:
Musicians performing in self-contained bands or musical groups of two or more can save $165 each in initiation fees if all band members apply together and join at the same time - $110 each includes annual dues for one year! Plus the bands get a free web page listing with photos, bio, sound files, and video for bookings and job referrals.
