
Ray was first elected President-Secretary of then Local 72 in 1983 and continued to serve as President following the merger of Local 72 and Local 147 in 1992. He has been a professional musician since 1964 and since that time has performed as a casual, club-date, recording and traveling musician. Ray's involvement with the AFM has included tenure as a member of its International Executive Board. He holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Music, respectively, from the University of North Texas in Denton, where he taught drum set from 1975 to 1983, and from the University of Southern Mississippi. rhair@musiciansdfw.org

Ken was appointed in November, 1998 to serve the balance of Genie Grant's term after she announced her retirement, effective January 1, 1999. He was subsequently elected later that same year. Ken first came to work for Local 72-147 in September, 1992 as an assistant to Ray, primarily in the area that pertains to symphonic musicians. Ken is a clarinetist with the Dallas Opera Orchestra and the Richardson Symphony. kkrause@musiciansdfw.org
Mike began working full time in the office with the creation of AFM Entertainment in 1994. He spends the better part of each day on the telephone talking with prospective clients, setting up gigs for musicians and acting as an organizer of casual/club date musicians. Mike has been the drummer and leader of The Sidemen, a band he formed 10 years ago, and still plays many gigs despite his busy office schedule. mkennedy@musiciansdfw.org

CHRISTY PRICE, ReceptionistChristy Price, a New Orleans native who worked at the New Orleans Local 174-496 for seven years, is the newest member of the Local 72-147 office staff, having started with us in April, 2004. Christy is currently working on her Interactive Media Design Bachelor of Science Degree at The Arts Institute in Dallas. Usually, her's is the first voice you hear when you call the office. Along with her receptionist duties, Christy performs most of the secretarial needs of the office staff and maintains the union's website. dfwweb@musiciansdfw.org
Rose began working in the offices of Local 72-147 as manager of Musicians Federal Credit Union in September, 1998. Before coming to Musicians FCU, Rose served for more than 8 years as Vice-President of Joint Services FCU and 20 years in Commercial Banks. rmathews@musiciansdfw.org
